The Post-2015 development agenda prioritises the promotion of ‘sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth’. This paper examines strategic focus areas that are fundamental in building an inclusive economy for Zimbabwe. It is argued that developing an inclusive economy should be seen as a comprehensive process aimed at structural transformation. Such transformation should take place on the structure of the economy, institutions (political and economic), fnancial and taxation systems, social protection, job creation, diaspora engagement and cities and urbanisation. However, transformation requires strategic and sustained action from the youth, government and private sector.
